alright ... its been 1 month in sispec ... not sure if i should go on and push myself for whats to come. I'm incurring pains on my back, if the pain persists, i'll really push for myself to be taken out of course. Oh well ... it seems that people are seeing me to completion of this course, but i really don't know, where is my music going to head towards if i were to put it on an extremely long hiatus?
oh well ... training has been madness ... navigating for close to 12 hours in one of the training grounds in singapore for impossible to find checkpoints. there were instances where i was submerged in knee-high mud level due to the heavy downpour, and i was actually just three-four arms length away from a hive that was situated in a low growing tree. Despite of that, i still gave out a loud "AH!" roar ... coz i wasn't sure if i was gonna sink in !!! Bwahaha... well ... i was getting very emo in School (its a training school afterall) , pple were making insults at my voice as usual ... don't let me switch on my saddistic-killer-care-not-for-your-life-or-death-mode ...
went to watch a dance performance alone last week because of the early book-out due to hari raya... Zurich ballet company performing to Bach's cello suites ... well... for one : The suites (III, IV & V i think) were awfully played, it started out mediocrely, picked up pace ... and then went completely downhill towards the end of the performance. I applaud the non-stop 90 mins of playing though. For the dancers, i feel the males were much better, however, the males were like trying to steal the limelight by executing stronger twists and what nots while in a group, i guess my perception of 'dancing in a group' is whereby all dancers dance in sync despite being stronger or not... if not ... why do they call it a 'group' or 'ensemble'? for the females ... i guess they weren't given very prominent roles though i think they could have pulled it through.
for the audience ... they seemed to have concert etiquette... and then u hear giggles halfway ... there were 2 young expat little girls , they were giggling at one of the dance moves (although i would like to add that it was actually very funny indeed), i would have laughed out louder if i were their age, but i wouldn't have been watching if i was their age. tsk ... its sad la ... we need to expose children to the arts at a tender age, but we have to expect them to behave more maturely. how is it possible to strike a balance?
on saturday, caught up with piggie, phoenix and lauli ... would say that it was an interesting evening ... thinking that La Camicia was a dining haunt ... only to find out something outrageous (to us at least) ... met Anders halfway through... muahaha... its a damn small world i have to say, meeting him with us and then having a link to lauli ... haha
here are some pics ....
